8-6-2017 1125 CR Exhaust XB9S 03 check up
18-7-2017 - 8-6-2017 Buell 1125CR Exhaust upgrade and Buell XB9S 03 check up steering head bearing and brake disk
some times you come across something special , the exhaust kept popping off the headers as no front mount bracket was used on this one

and the damper bodies are about ready to grenade , pop rivets comming lose and blowing out so bandclamps where added by the customer

our new model TH2 easy mounted ( no longer carbon mufler body , so a DB insert can be used )

looking good

DB insert in for now, as this customer is going on a Europeen road trip

Polished Bling XB9S in for check up, and new front

letting here warm up to drain the oil

while heating up.. i remove the covers

little bit on the magnet.. for 03 normal

just a little thing i noticed.. the axle is sticking out a little ?

anyway.. new oil filter on

checking the belt.. these 03 belts need to check on hair cracks out side

axle out.. looks like there is a ding on the outer ring, perhaps this is why the swing arm is pulled in ?

first wheel bearing check.. loosen the lower cover, and lift the bike a little so you can pull the belt to the side and not damage it

bearings are ok

wheel back in.. and belt guards mounting back on.. put a little neverseas on these screws

front pully cover back on.. if you can mount this when you are able to rotate the wheel.. to check if the metal rear base plate is rubbing

bike swapped around .. nice head light mod

seams to be a hot topic these days
:-) looking good

anyway front wheel bearing check

these are done for , i think still originals ? from 2003

and new disk needed to be mounted

our galfer disk.. looks good brakes better
:-) , bolts back to 35NM

i felt pushing the bike already a little stiff front end... on the lift wheel out and turning the handle bar.. yes.. steering head bearings are gone

after a quick call with the customer ok was given to fix it , so front legs out

and removing the headlight bracket

loosen the side plates and ignition switch

marking the handle bar making it eady to mount it back exectly the same

all loose , and stem nut removing

will clean and lube the stem

knocking out the old bearings, for shit and giggles opened up 1 bearings.. these are brown off corrasion

conical bearings.. i have my thoughs nut every body is using theme.. let give it a go .. nice to have a race press availeble

inner races in

seal on and lube the conical bearing

top side also mounted

and tighen the stem pinch bolt

putting the headlight sides back on

handle bar and throttle cables —

will give this a little cleaning

will give this a little cleaning

new disk... new pads

and front wheel with new bearings in

tighen the caliper bolt with a drop off loctite on the threads

push down the front end to set the forks

and dash mounted back on.. do the lower in complete and the 2 front ones later

front brake feels a little crunchy

clean and lube, feels so much better

brake fluid replacement
