5-9-2017 - What did we do Today: 28-7-2017 XB12X wet clutch, problem Buell XB, Buell X1 rocker cover gasket leaking and front mount rubber

this Uly was brought in by the roadservice.. as the clutch would not work anymore.. the owner did ride though very hard and much rain.. the morning after the clutch did not work anymore, opening up the inspection cover watter came out half a quart — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

going to loosen the cable completely to change the boot and clean — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

feck... i can not get the hub out .. should be a easy pull .but this one is solid stuck — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

ok plates sticking ?, spring compressor on.. — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

ok full primairy drive off ( front sprocket to ) the hub is seases in the basket needle bearing — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and all the lateral springs in the basket are loose / broken... i see that more.. but i can move the center on this one by hand... not good — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

as the baskets are very expencive, taling to the customer we had a good used one lying around and will use this one — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

cleaning.. the bearings from the white stuff and oil it.. i will advice the customer to make 500 km good long trip so the oil gets hot.. and replace the oil again.. to get the last off the white out the gearbox — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

these gasket kits are nice... come with all gaskets and seals.. as the customer suspected the cover gaskets been leaking — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and cover on.. tq it starting in the middle , spiral out— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

old style clutch cable ( no teflon liner ) , but still good and works.. so clean and lube — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

lowering extention on.. — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and shiftlever bolts on.. loctite !! — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

rear cylinder has been replaced to a 1 piece gasket.. i bet the front is still the crappy paper 2 piece gaskets , that now gave up — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

fuel cell on.. becarefull with these.. no longer to get— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

the front 2 screws where not in.. but the 1 piece cover is a pain to remove .. will see — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

yep... crappy paper gasket , i see this allot .. rear cylinder starts to leak much sooner.. but only the rear is replaced.. — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

put some paper rag plugs in the pushrod tubes so no gasket debris can fall in — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

the box old style bolts ( loos rings ) differ in lenght !! ( the new bolts are the same lenght ) — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and something tells me isolation tape is a bad sealer for oil on a leaking clutch cable — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
