rear wheel inspection, remove the rear brake caliper

lift the bike ( the rear , shift to 5e gear to bump the engine )

and check the primairy tension on at least 3 places set the tension on the tightest spot

with the rear in the air , also easy to check the belt condition , cracks inside

still the first model belt... did show some wear, but not enough to raise eyebrows

loer belt guard off to remove the rear wheel

breaker bar needed to loosen the axle

small signs the axle was seasing to the bearings

bearings are done for, they will not last a other few 1000... so i replace these now

new bearings in , axle cleaned and some tacky silicone grease on the axle

nice when you can tighen the axle with a finger

set to 66 NM , and tighen the pich bolt

little neverseas on the belt guard screws as they can be a pain when they get stuck in the swing arm

new oil filter on , prime the filter and wet the o-ring

mnn clutch cable runs a little strange

aah ok some one mounted a clutch cable from a Firebolt ( R ) model , these are a little shorter , it works and i will ziptie the cable so it will not rub anymore

fuel vent hose, hanging loose

behind the left peg bracket there is a plastic holder to put it in , so the hard line will not rub the paint on the swingarm

moving up.. electrics check... battery poles needed some tightening

and moving to the front.

front wheel bearings.. start to run dry, will replace these as well

new bearings in, wheel can go back

front axle cleaned and lubed , set TQ to 55 NM left hand

when the levers are pointing down so much, best for refreshing the brake fluid to move the position horizontal

new fluid in, and fresh fluid for the rear brake

first clean theme out with hot soapy watter , they need to be very clean, whipe theme with a rag , the rag needs to stay clean !!

check the wrist pin bearing with the new piston pin , you should be able to slide it with out pressure and not feel any play, we checked the big end play on the crank already, was ok

new oversize pistons , note the direction — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

oil rings on , and push down the rings with the piston so the rings are in straight — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

don't forget to put the base gasket on ;-) — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

cylinder and piston over the rod and push the piston pin home — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
