we are tuning the XB88 on the dyno.. but we the TQ ia low ... lets try something — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

as i noticed the intake stack.. was modified.. as there is a story going on on the interweb.. the stack sucks vacuum to the cover.. and this causes stutter — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

but i know some serieus Buell computing power went in the design off th stack.. we tried to improve it , but Buell engineers got it pritty much spot on, with the stock cams, valves exhaust — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

not to such to the cover.. you need to mount it correct push down on the maniold and put the clip on good — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and new model airbox .. she will pick up some power— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

trouble shooting done.. now mount everything back and test in the real world... speed sensor back on , was removed as this could give a error back to the ecm gound — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

cover back on.. painted translucent.. still cracks to easy — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

while monitoring.. she is good.. normal i could not get here over 180 deg C heat temp and she started to cut out the front.. now ( needed to pull the fan fuse ) 210 deg.. and still running nice.. :-) happy — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

cylinders are back rom cleaning the bores.. — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

need to clean , i think they done it at the machine shop.. but as this will be on my watch.. clean it again— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and in hot soapy watter to clean and degrease the parts — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

dry . and with a clean rag through the bore, needs to stay clean. light coat of break in oil and pistons in — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

note.. XB9 wiseco piston pins are smaller than XB12 wiseco piston pins.. ? because piston weight ? as XB9 pistons have a roof ? — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

with some rags in the bore.. helps to put the piston pin clips in.. if you drop theme — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

for now put some hold down nut on the cylinder so it will not bang around moving the crank , you can als use the head bolts with some 1/2 inch drive sockets— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

number 2 on.. check the piston orientation last time— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and the pushrod covers go on — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

 

adding oil on the lifters — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

 

 

andt rear head in first , over the pushrod cover first— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

oiling the head bolts — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

the longer pushrod is exhaust.. if the markings are gone — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

rocker box mounted.. first all the bolt in — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

now first the coil bracket and top bracket on to mount the intake — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

belt tension off by turning out the reasr axle 15 turns— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
