30-01-2015 Big Service 1125R.

4-2-2015 - An Other Big Service on a 1125R this one a daily driver, warming up the bike to drain the oil.

 

Big service 1125R, mnnn first time some took the cover off ? MAP sensor is upside down , sensor should be facing down , like this watter can collect in the sensor.

 

Big service 1125R, while taking off the body covers,the oil can drain.

 

Big service 1125R, small walk around, douse not take a second look to tell the rear wheel bearings are gone.

 

Big service 1125R, the clutch cover showed little signs off leaking, but was dry , untill i took off the cover plug and a liberal amount off brake fluid leaked out... ok new clutch slave cylinder.

 

Big service 1125R, first things first, new oil filter in ,and drain plug back in.

 

Big service 1125R,rear wheel out to replace the bearings ,with a long extension you can unscrew the brake caliper from the left side.

 

Big service 1125R, pinch bolt loosend, and axle out .

 


Big service 1125R, and some fresh bearings pressed in.

 


Big service 1125R, wheel back in , and off course you can tighten the caliper from the right side to.

 

Big service 1125R, check the rear brake it douse not bind ( 1125 tend to seas the rear master )

 

Big service 1125R, exhaust off for engine rotation , the 2008 versions had a 2e brace on the right front mounting point.

 

Big service 1125R, the right front bolt needs a spanner 13 mm to loosen the bolt, the rest off the bolts have sliding nuts fixed in the exhaust.

Big service 1125R, 1125 are little dust suckers due there intake in the front wheel wake.

Big service 1125R, for now i put the coil back in so noting can fall into the hole.

Big service 1125R, front wheel bearings are feeling a little crunchy to will replace these to.

 

Big service 1125R, loosening the side pods to get to the K-bracket bolts.

Big service 1125R, loosen the horn wire so it will not break during rotation.

 

Big service 1125R, bought K-bracket bolts out.

Big service 1125R, remove the ingnition cover plug.

 

Big service 1125R, and take out the plug.

 

Big service 1125R, it will leak a little oil from the crank journal , but now you can turn the engine over counter clock wise only !! you take the change slipping the cam chains turning it clock wise.

 

Big service 1125R, taking notes.. measure and calculate the correct size , it needed 0.10 more play on the exhaust valves.

 

Big service 1125R, while on the new plates the size is written, i like to check it.

 

Big service 1125R, adjust and turn the engine a rotation so the shims seat, and measure if the adjustment was correct , and put the finger slide protection back in , the intake where good btw.

 

Big service 1125R, valve cover back on , i like to check with my finger if the spark plug hole gasket did not fall out , happened to me ones before.

 

Big service 1125R, now the pesky one, rear cover off, pulling the left fuse box and start relais out there holders gives the cable harness a little mmoreroom.

 

Big service 1125R, same story as front cylinders exhaust needed -/- 0.10 mm intakes where good.

 

Big service 1125R, gapping the new spark plugs.

 

Big service 1125R, and coils back in ,make sure the connection plugs are locking.

 

Big service 1125R, engine back up, this can take some pushing and pulling , start tightening left side ( the fixed to the frame side )

 

Big service 1125R, lying up the K-brackets, sometimes you need to loose the side bolts to get the holes aligned.

 

Big service 1125R, TQ down all engine mount bolts , and pinch bolts for the sliding cups on the right side.

 

Big service 1125R, a little ziptie on the idle air hose makes sure it will not pop off during installation off the airfilter base plate.

 

Big service 1125R, air filter base plate in position, check the throttle mechanism, it is not sticking.

 

Big service 1125R,new air filter on.

 

Big service 1125R, next job, clutch cylinder.

Big service 1125R,,and cover back on, we should make a clear cover for the plug , so you can see the beautiful machine work.

 

Big service 1125R, cleaning the lower ends on the forks, as they will slide in completely during oil change, will not damage the seals.

 

Big service 1125R, little electrical take to protect the cap nuts ,they score very easy.

 

Big service 1125R, oil changed on the front forks, new front wheel bearings , ready to go back in.

Big service 1125R, little upgrade from the bulb to the 2010 model LED tail light.

 

Big service 1125R, looks allot better, you need to modify the wiring and put flat tabs on these wires.
