14-8-2014 XB Rear Wheel replacement, 1125 oli leak

15-8-2014 - Buell Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement. Buell 1125 CR oil leak, after rotor upgrade done.

Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement, we have had mounted the rear wheel bearing with metal glue the last time as, the wheel had a hard live, broken bearings ones and did spin in the wheel , customer did found a almost new 2e hand wheel, so we will replace this for him.

 

Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement, rear brake caliper off.

 

Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement, pinch bolt loose.

 

Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement, axle out a and guards off.

 

Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement, bearings still in place  it's really good glue !!

 

Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement, pulley bolts out, impact wrench is a bit saver.

 

Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement, and disk off the old wheel.

 

Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement, little never seas on the inside off the pulley so it will not corrode on the hub.

 

Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement, loctite and TQ down to specs.

Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement, in the wheel where Korean bearings.. the bad experiance in the past the customer wanted to put better ones in... witch i think was a good plan.

Xb12Xt, rear wheel replacement, rounded screws, better replace theme if this was almost slipping, the next time you will need to drill it out.

 

1125 CR oil leak, after rotor upgrade done, still looking for the oil leak, have cleaned the bike, but other than a little drip from the water pump vent hole ( nothing to worrie about as the bike has been standing still for a long time )

1125 CR oil leak, ok rebuild , always check when you put the airfilter base back on, if the throttle mechanism is not sticking.

1125 CR oil leak, when you take a c-clip and place this in the slot in the clutch cylinder, you can loosen the complete cover with out needing to bleed the system again.

1125 CR oil leak, clutch cover crews out and pull off the cover.

 

1125 CR oil leak, inner nut out to remove the membrame.

 

1125 CR oil leak, last time i did this , i needed to pull the clutch out, so i started to do this on this bike to, looking back , was not needed this time, model year change i presume ?

1125 CR oil leak, position the water pomp ? balance wheel in the right position ( with crank in front tdc )and lock it with a drill bit of use the special tool.

 

1125 CR oil leak, ok clean, a little engine assembly lube ( like redline ) on the crank and balance gear , and cover back on , TQ to specs.

1125 CR oil leak, inner clutch cover lid back on.

 

1125 CR oil leak, and outer cover back on.

 

1125 CR oil leak, new hose clamp on the vacuum line.

 

1125 CR oil leak, new gasket on the rear header.

 

1125 CR oil leak, wiggle the header back on an tighten.

 

1125 CR oil leak, starting to look like a bike again.
