9-2-2019 Buell X1 making ready Buell 1125 engine
14-10-2019 - What did we do today: 9-2-2019: Buell X1 get her running #4 and start up, Buell 1125 engine
trouble shooting the X1 as no power to ecm / lights — at Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
hot wired to check if the ignition switch is the problem ..
ok that was easy... need to order a new ignition switch.. but we can now do the start up
pumping the engine for oil pressure , with spark plugs still out.
oil pressure , so plugs in
mounting the fuel filter to the bracket
smelling the fuel , is old ..
i will drain the old fuel
cycling the fuel pump to pump it empty
need to set the tps
last bit of fuel , pump sounds good, and fuel looks good.. i will do a pressure test
fuel pressure is perfect .. check
some fresh fuel in.. reminder replace the fuel cap o-ring , as it is cracked

now cooling of and small jobs front indicator , easier to remove the head light screw
new O-ring for the fuel cap
snapy lock up again.. and closing good

water pump looks ok. so no extra attention — at Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
taking out the oil baffles — at Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and loosening the rod caps — at Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
wear pattern on the rod with to much piston pin play. looks like it did some damage — at Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

tension bolts on the caps , need a coat of moly to mount
bearing caps in the rods

tq down to carrilo specs 98 nm
cleaning of some left over green loctite. she was fighting us all the way
ready to be mounted
taking apart the rest of the case , oil guide for the chain
chain guide pivot out
so to remove the guide
taking out the neutral switch
will put some silicone on it to seal proper
oil cooler fittings out
breather hose of
oil channel guide out
and oil baffle plate out
will clean this
and splatter plae
some cleaning
plate back in
oil chanel plate in
and baffle plate on
speed sensor trigger of
and gear box tapped out — at Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and last piece of the oil pump out
check and clean
inner shifter shaft seal
new one in
gearbox back in place
and shifter arms on
shift drum in and pins on
with a flat screw driver you can hold the detent out the way
to mount the shift index , checking the gear box if all gears work
crank in and case gasket on
using some screws to guide the gasket in place
26 bolts this side ;-)
start with the inner
the to follow tightening procedure
and the 2 bolts on the other side
outer shifter shaft seal in
and shift rod pushed through
oil pump back in , inner
and outer rotor
cover mounted.. very light coat of gasket
tighten al these bolts 11 Nm
and the nylon oil pump gear
