14-2-2018 - What did we do today 9-12-2017 Buell XB12 88CI making her ready for first startup

mounting a slightly heavier clutch spring — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

with the pressure plate off , some cleaning is nice — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

mounting back , put the positioning ring on first ;-)— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

cover can be mounted.. old shifter seal out — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and new one in

cover on, and start tq in the middle and spiral out — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

gearbox oil in — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

mounting clutch cable .,mmnnn interesting.. heavy scars from chin spoilers / brackets — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and signs off leaking — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

old style cable still.. no teflon inner lining .. see if it holds out.. will change it other wise ( will also reduse the lever pull with a new cable — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

washer needed to over come the wear in the cover— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and clutch cable bracket on — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

setting the primairy chain tension — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and run in engine oil in — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

fuel pump connector loose — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and coil connector off for now.. to pump the engine for oil pressure — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

mnnn shock canister is loose — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and the wiring looks like a mess — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

a new wire was pulled from the resitors to the front... no need for this .. as adding 1 resistor to each circuit ( left or right ) will do for front as rear — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

so this eye sore can be removed — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and pulling out the rest — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

wil never need this cable , so i will remove this to..exhaust solinoid cable — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

it is connected to the cable harness left next to the battery , — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

plug off and pulled the cable out , in the box for the customer — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

hehe... found the missing shock cannister holder bolt;-) — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and a wire harness issue — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

wire has been rubbing very hard — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

so close to the ecm , i can remove the wire end very easy from the plug. so a piece off heatshrink tube is perfect to protect — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

isolating and routing a little tighter , so the seat will not tough — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

dyno loop wire.. freed... we will use this for rpm pick up ( basicly a loop in one off the coil wires ) — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

as the tail section is a little crowded.. i mount the reisitors in the front — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

contact ... — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

airpistol , and some paper to seal the oil tank.. so to pressure rise the oil .. as we want the oil to get every where — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

engine turning over with out spak plugs... and we have oil pressure, as with a start fresh rebuild engine it can take some time for the oil to get in the heads...— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

so plugs in and making ready for first start — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

Dris needs to do his magic on the fuel mapping for the first start up , as it will need more fuel — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and the same on the black XB88... so next week 2 start ups :-) — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
