3-5-2017 - 6-4-2017 Buell XB12Ss big service and intake seals, Buell XB12R inspection

nice color , like the black fender

checking while hot.. yep intake seals are leaking

while hot drain the oil

removing the covers while the bike is draining

fresh gearbox oil in

adjusting the clutch.. put some never sees on before you screw it in

checking the primairy cover on cranks ( inside ) the holder for the ball and ramp can crack

fresh oil filter , prime and wet the o-ring

old model side stand pivot.. just checking.. already put this in with red loctite ;-) it is still tight

rear wheel out.. bearing check ... these are gone

belt is ok ,, starting to show some wear but nothing special

fresh bearings in

and rear wheel back in . axle set to 66 Nm

while idle on the lift.. i could here the primairy chain.. was a little loose, check the play on 3 point before adjusting

new gasket and cover back on

rotating the engine down. weight off the engine and front bolt loose

nicely corroded... i will clean it and put some neversees on

wires no longer used , exhaust solinoid cables ... will remove this .. and make the bike faster ;-)

airbox off and top mount loose

clutch cable was already loose, throttle wire need also be removed

connections loose under the bonnet , ready to lower the engine

cut off allen wrench works very good to loose these bolts

left side loose

and throttle bodie can come off , you see the vacuum bite marks in the seal

no good...

cleaned and new gaskets on

and back on the bike

with the engine down... plugs are easy

set the gap en put a little neversees on the threads

check the plug connectors for corrosion

engine back up and bolt back in

W-brace fixed again

front fender off and caluper bolt out

when you put the froks back in.. make sure you don't pinch the cables — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

this handle bar prevents the forks to go to the top postion , i like to leave a little room to the handle bar and the fork caps — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

front axle... clean and lube to prevent corrosion — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

wheel back in and caliper back on — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

front fender back on.. the white washers have a fuction... they are there to clamp the bodie panel , with out , the panel can rattle — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

with these straight handle bars the angle off the brake reservoir is off, best to loosen the clamp and turn it a little straight — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

full over the edge.. i will lower the level some — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

pump the levers when you bleeding theme so it makes a full stroke to prevent the master from binding — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

press down the suspention before you tighten the axle pinch bolts — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
