2008 up charging check.. all the wires are behind the left airscoop , the grey plug is from the stator — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

put your voltmeter on AC ( alternating current ) — bijTwin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and test leads to bought terminals .. idle running engine 25 volts .. that looks good — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

but that is not all to measure .. resistance to ground on the leads — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

mnnn that should be Open circuit , this indicates the stator is short to ground.. i think it makes voltage but douse not put any amps in — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

last check as the regulators are number 1 problem on 08-up diode check on the regulator to check thast portion is working .. — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

check .. look for the + wire from the regulator and use the other lead to check the stator plug terminals.. looks like the regulator is ok.. one way it blocks , the test leads turned around the testing voltage of the meter is let through — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

so ok stator.. draining the oil you get hint what is wrong as the oil smells burned — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

clutch bal and ramp out and shifter of — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

as the clutch cable is sweating i remove it and fix this — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

for the clutch cable to come of, front bracket bolt out— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and turn the clutch cable out, holding it as straight as posible — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

primairy tensioner adjuster loose — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and removing the cover bolts — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

clutch pulling plate out — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

new stator on.. some rvt sealant to bed the wires in and some around the plug to help seal in the cover— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

clutch hub bearings can cause a problem.. prelubing it before mounting.. helps — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

pulling plate back on .. commen problem with the c-clips the bend to much , so hold in the groove with only a hair — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

new gaskets and tq down the cover — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

heat shrink repair tube on the clutch cable with heat activated glue to make it oil tight — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

screwing the cable back in i noticed it did turn heavy... better to clean.. up as the metal threath on the clutch cable will break very easy .. thread is 5/16-24 btw — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and clutch mechanisme in.. lightly bottoming and 1/4 turn loose — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

and mount the shifter back on.. use loctide on the pivot bolt — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

customer choise to have it replaced right away as we are working on the bike , very little job.. swing arm brace out and foot peg bracket loose — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

 

 

new belt on and swing arm brace back on, tighten the rear axle — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

 

 

and checking / setting primairy chain tension — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

 

 

clutch cable back up, some loctite on the tierod bolt— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

 

 

chin spoiler back on.. 1 pull nut is gone.. pulling in a new one — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

 

 

moving up to change the rear sparkplug — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

works better with a extra pair off hands.. loosen and retighten the steering stem nut.. front wheel loose and lower triple t clamps loose ! — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
