9-3-2017 - 23-2-2017 Buell Xb12S service, belt idler bearing change and maintenance.
we checked and repaired the starting issue last saterday.. got green light to do a full service and inspection on here — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

noticeing things.. rear base gasket begins to sweat— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
side stand has been home modified with a bolt.. it is tights so will do — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
will not do is the shifter , the lever is loose — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and can not thighten it ,as the threads are pulled out the lever.. leave it like this the splines will rattel out and the lever will turn over the shift axle , i wil mount a new one — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
getting the front plug out from below — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and ,move to the rear.. the old style belt guards can best be taken off to remove the wheel.. with out damaging any — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

the belt pully sounds also like maracas will replace these bearings to — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
with the belt off i can also clean the corrosion on the studs ( as i needed to fight the bracket loose )— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
now officialy you need to replace the whole wheel... but these bearings ( the dual bearing models ) can be replaced ...t45 and 1/2 spanner for the bolt — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
with 2 flat screw drivers start the spiral lock ring — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and turn it out — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
you can press the bearings out in a vice ( off course hydrolic press is better ) — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
break up the bearing pack... and remove the spacers — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
there is a short spacer and thick spacer.. the thick ones needs to go on the spiral lock side off the pully — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
some new bearings — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and press these back in — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
clean the spiral lock and wiggle this back in the groove.. i find this best doen by hand — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
little grease on the spacers and push these back in— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
thick one on the lock ring side , and se can be mounted back in the brace — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
other thing that needs to be checked.. belt is begining to crack — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
new rear wheel bearings in, and can be mounted back in — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
new old filter primed and hand tight — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
lower belt guard.. put some neverseize on the mounting screws — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
fresh gearbox oil in and primairy chain checked — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

airfilter has been " open airbox " modded with a blunt saw i think... ;-) — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
check the spark plug cables, these are gen2 iff i recall correct.. but there still ok — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
check the cables on rubbing and corrosion in the connectors — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
resr plug runs hotter... i wonder why — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
rear plug gap checked and set, and back in.. tooling needed — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
check the vacuum port gap.. these dry out and fall off — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
with a fresh one .. no unfiltered air in the intake — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
base plate airfilter back on.. slide the velocity stack grommet between the base plate — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
our battery strap.. much easyer that the stock one , one side on with O-ring — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
other side on, with o-ring — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and connected with the 3e O-ring — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

caliper bolt.... grrrr... please use loctite here, no copperslip... have seen these come out way to often — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
mnnfront axle sticks out ? indicating a problem ? or just a short spacer , with the wheel out, i could not detect any problems with the bearings.. — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
defenaly the 1e time these forks have come loose ... needed a breaker bar to loosen the bolts ( factory loctite ) — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
that is a pitty the legs begin to corrode and the tube aluminium starts to peel away , this starts with a small damage or salt corrosion ( wich i see more off on this bike ) — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
protecting the front fork top caps from maring with some isolation tape , so the socket fits tight — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
cleaning the lower legs before i push theme completely in — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
checking the settings before i break the connection— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and remvoe the top cap to get the springs and spacers out to change the oil — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
fork oil to level and back in the bike. tighen the front axle 55 nm — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and some loctite on the cleaned caliper bolts — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and set these to 50 NM — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
pressing down the front suspention a few time to set the forks on the wheel axle , and tighten the pinch bolts — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
chin spoiler back on.. loctite these bolts , buell's vibrate ... allot ... — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
angry flyscreen back on — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and new shift lever on ... — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and some loctite on these screws... been lost many times — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

ok starting heat up oil lever check... wtf.. oil presure light stays on ? — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
quick chcck if the sensor is broken ? it should light up when put to ground .. sensor is not the problem— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
flyscreen off again... wiggeling the dash connector the light is out — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
