31-1-2015 - Buell XB12X 2006, make it run after long time neglected. Buell Xb9S battery change. Buell XB9SX, Small service and dropping idle. Buell XB9-12 conversion, not running nice. Buell M2, 1e gear problems, take 5.

 Buell XB12X 2006, make it run after long time neglected , the front engine bolt was seased, but as we had some time, we could leave this over night with some penitration oil.. save a hard struggle and change of destroying the front engine mount rubber.

Buell Xb9S battery change.. the after market, battery did not live really long, i guess you get what you pay for, there is a reason we don't want to sell these.

 

Buell Xb9S battery change, battery out, notice the battery tray is bending by the weight off the battery, because the rear foot peg bolts are not in, ( to short in this case to put nuts on top )

 

Buell Xb9S battery change. some longer bolts and nuts will secure the battery tray, less vibrating things next to wire harness from ecm is better.

 

Buell Xb9S battery change. little trick to secure the battery strap  big screw driver with rounded end, pull the strap and hold it applying force on the screw driver,

Buell Xb9S battery change. good visual indication on front brake warping.. you see the middle piece is braked clean after new pads.. so the braking force off the disk is about half now... this bike was not vibrating when braking, but that will be a matter off time.

Buell XB9SX, Small service and dropping idle , brake lever was feeling very cruddy, took a little time to clean it ( bike with handguards ) but it feels so much better.

 

Buell XB9-12 conversion, not running nice.. i pulled the sparkplug cables and pulled off the metal clip very easy ? ok could this be the problem running on 1,5 cylinder ?

Buell XB9-12 conversion, not running nice, leak test, is not really telling everything, valves are not really leaking, but i can hear the cylinder head breathers leaking air.. piston rings ? ok.. need to strip the rear cylinder.

 

Buell M2, 1e gear problems, take 5, hard to find problem.. bike just misses only in 1 gear some time a little drive ( about 1 meter ) not always.

 

Buell M2, 1e gear problems, take 5, we have took the gearbox out a few time already, checked the shifter forks ect 1 gear.

 

Buell M2, 1e gear problems, take 5, but we never had a good look at the 2 gear tot the 5e gear out put shaft.. this only shifts from neutral and every other gear this is engage... and it looks like this has been knocking the shifter dogs.

Buell M2, 1e gear problems, take 5, as we have allot off XB gearboxes used , and most are in good condition... and most off the parts are the same  i take a used gear looking much better.
