1-7-2014 - Harley Davidson XR1200 HPA airbox and mapping. Buell 1125R rotor modification. Buell XB12Scg 2008, idle problem.

XR1200 HPA airbox and mapping , customer drove all the way from Belgium, and will drive back a happy man.

XR1200 HPA airbox and mapping, not the best exhaust , but we will make it work.

XR1200 HPA airbox and mapping , the dealer has tried to replace the air filter, but informed the customer there was something wrong, and did not dare to rip the original air box off.

 

XR1200 HPA airbox and mapping , after a little investication i noticed the rear bras threath busing was pulled out blocking the airbox , i tried to tap it back in, drilling a little piece off could have been a option, but the customer did not care for the old airbox, so i broke the tab and removed the old airbox.

XR1200 HPA airbox and mapping , and updating the fuel mapping, and good to go.

Buell 1125R rotor modification, stator has been replaced by the dealers for warranty , and looks very good.

Buell 1125R rotor modification, you can tap the sprag bearing plate off.

Buell 1125R rotor modification, after cleaning , and lubing the bearing surface the starter gear is put back on.

 

Buell 1125R rotor modification, some more oil , and put the sprag starter gear back on.

 

Buell 1125R rotor modification, put the modified rotor on, and line the bolt holes for the sprag plate , use green loctite and tighten to 35 NM , rotor needs 400 NM and 272 red loctite.

 

Buell 1125R rotor modification, little silicone sealent on the wire rubber to make it seal better.

Buell 1125R rotor modification, loosen the pad pins while the caliper is stil mounted , it can need some force.

 

Buell 1125R rotor modification, position the spokes off the wheel in the slots off the caliper back side, so you can remove the caliper with out damaging the spokes.

Buell 1125R rotor modification, caliper on, and putting back the fender with a light purple loctite , just a precaution and corrosion protection.

 

Buell 1125R rotor modification, pump the brakes to pressure... really your not the first to push the bike after brake pads replacement the and pull the lever to the handle bar...

 

Buell 1125R rotor modification, push in the front suspension a few times to set the forks before tightening the front axle pinch bolts.

 

Buell 1125R rotor modification, removing "harley modification" so the bike will also charge in low rpm's

Buell 1125R rotor modification, check function and charging , and check oil lever, the amount lost by removing the cover is very little, but never hurts to check it.

 

XB12Scg 2008, idle problem, looks good, cleaned it up a bit and do a function test, ( ing on and off ) as it sets it self to the closed position.

 

XB12Scg 2008, idle problem, little trick to see it it works good, let the tip run out the adjustment , leaving a little pressure, to set it on a other gear theeth, and the solinoid sould feel hard, after setting and contact on, when contact off you should be able to push it back in, to bad this feels ok, and i need to investigate this problem further.
