Buell 1125R Big service, we find it the best to drain and change oil with the engine hot and pulling the drain plugs, we always need a little over 3 liters to refill.

Buell 1125R Big service, exhaust removed, for big service and easy working we take out the front legs and support the front , and engine to rotate.

 

Buell 1125R Big service, loosen the clutch line , and the fan housing, and loosen the K brackets.

 

Buell 1125R Big service , top side airbox removed and center engine mounting bolts out , the engine can be rotated down.

 

Buell 1125R Big service , front spark plug ... it looks like a big job, but after a few times, it becomes easy.

 

Buell 1125R Big service, we noticed the water pump was sweating a little, but on the gasket , not the vent hole, as this is a rubber seal ring, and we could tighten all the screws half a turn, we need to keep a eye for this , but i think it will be ok now.

Buell XB9R, problem childs, dropping idle.. sometimes you look so far, and are pointed in the wrong direction, looking for electrical problems.

 

Buell XB9R, problem childs, dropping idle.. just checking basics, as the many many log files i make running this bike did show no system voltage drops, just checking the tps sensor on full throttle.

Buell XB9R, problem childs, dropping idle.. now the engine made allot off noise, but the early XB engines are noisy... and it did run relative okish except for the idle drop... normaly one off the first thing i do... with engine noise, did not do it with this bike, as it did look like a electrical problem... stick a magnet in the swingarm, i wish i had done this... would have saved me allot off time looking for a problem.... the magnet came out like a hedgehog full off metal debris... i think the crank bearings are broken. mixed feelings , happy i found the problem, sad for the customer the engine needs overhauling.
