18-9-2014 - Buell Xb12Xt, belt and front fork seal. Buell Xb9R front head of on the diesel bike. Buell Xb12SS no clutch.

Xb12Xt, belt broke on holiday, the road service also pulled the bike very hard down in the springs, perhaps shortening the life off the right front seal , as it was leaking when the bike was here.

Xb9r running on diesel, taking off the front cylinder to inspect the damage , rocker cover off.

Xb9r running on diesel, push rods out , there color coded... but this can ware off, if you can't find color on these, mark the position.

Xb9r running on diesel, always a little difficult, but with dis-assembly i try to take the covers off first.

 

Xb9r running on diesel, and protect the lifters from falling debris ( surface de-greased ) 

 

Xb9r running on diesel, bore looks better than the rear cylinder, but the flushing of diesel ( is kind off a de-greaser ) has left its marks, will go out to the machine shop and see if a light hone will work.

Xb12SS, clutch is not working any more, first suspect was the primairy cover , but this is not the case, as the lever pull still feels normal , Oil how ever looks really bad ( water in oil )

Xb12SS, clutch is not working any more, all parts nice again, pre lube the needle bearing before mounting.

 

Xb12SS, clutch is not working any more, cover back on and set the primairy chain tension again.
