1-4-2015 - XB9Sx 2009 Big service, Customer uses his bike daily ,and this is his frist bike nice start i should think.

XB9Sx 2009 Big service, hothot hot ... i should know better the big aluminum lump stays hot a long time , changing the front plug from below.

XB9Sx 2009 Big service, and clutch adjusted, the customer mentioned he noticed the clutch some times slipping ? adjustment was a little tight, i give it a little more freeplay.

 

XB9Sx 2009 Big service,mnnn will change the shifter shaft seal to it is sweating.

XB9Sx 2009 Big service, with the axle half way out ( belt slack ) i remove the inner belt guard, as it hit the pulley and can dammage the wheel when you take the wheel out.

 

XB9Sx 2009 Big service, remarkeble ware for so little km , driving allot in rain, shortens the life off the pulleys very much, but looks like something was cought in the belt ,looking at the dentations.

 

XB9Sx 2009 Big service, and the stone was still in the belt, this belt will fail sooner or later, better to replace now , than to wait on the roadservice.

XB9Sx 2009 Big service, new belt put on, some neverseas on the idlerpulley studs.

 

XB9Sx 2009 Big service, before you tighten the axle , put the swingarm brace back on first !!

XB9Sx 2009 Big service, with a flat screw driver gently peel out the old seal, you can tap the new seal in with a high socket.

 

XB9Sx 2009 Big service, use loctite on these screws !!!!! have seen to many times these come out and "get home, ziptie repairs " they do come handy, put some zipties under your seat , jut incase.

XB9Sx 2009 Big service, fresh oil in the forks , and legs back in, loosly tighten the caliper.

 

XB9Sx 2009 Big service, and with the axle nice and lubed , you can almost turn the axle in by hand
