1-3-2019 1125 SWISS oil leak, M2 oil leak

3-11-2019 - What did we do today 1-3-2019 Buell 1125R from Swiss oil leaking valve cover, and replace cam shafts, Buell M2 looking for oil leak.

ehhhh ..the barometric sensor is not a bucket — at Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

works better upside down ( no watter can fal in )

we need to rotate the engine, so airbox of

and removing the side panels

pods loose

as we do the front cams to.. i take of the left front bracket

position the engine jack so i still can use the crank lock tool

front wheel and forks out first look

dham.. first time this has happened.. a rubber retainer of the engine wire loom has caught between the cover and gasket.. as we could not start the engine the time we checked the valve play we did not see this leak.. learning experiance

anyway engine still needs to go down.. unplug the rear O2 sensor connector big change the wire will be pulled out when the engine drops

ignition cover .plug out

to turn the engine over

crank lock holes plug out

and crank lock tool in place

loosen the clutch master, to give more room to the line

engine rotated down.. and coil out

spark plug out

the culprit .. dham

sort of marking horizontal

looking for the crank notch.. can be a pain in the bottum

but when al is ok.. the cam lock tool will drop right in place over the intake cam , and locking on the park plug hole

better picture

now chain tension of.. 8 mm allen in the plug

because very hard to reach and usely very tight i put a long extenstion on and turn it loos on top of the frame

because very hard to reach and usely very tight i put a long extenstion on and turn it loos on top of the frame

chain tensioner plug out

and you can pull out the chain tensioner

which is spring loaded btw

drive gear bolts out , and i leave it hanging like this as we only need the cams

cam train loose.. you see on the exhaust cam the pitting , as reason of replacing the cam

on the used set, the left side support has had some transport damage

new cam train and valve fingers assembled and turned about right .. markings horizontal to the head

the cam lock tool slides in place

clean the old gear nuts..from old loctite ,put some new on and tighten to 30nm

checking and setting the valve lash

cover on with new gasket ( whitch is a pain btw , we put some drops of silicone on, and left it some time to dry , before the new gasket would seat , and stay seated , coil back on.. check the positive lock on the connector — at Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

M2 oil leak.. we had cleaned the lower side of the bike , and had here running for some time, but it needed more heat before it leaked.. so put here on the dyno , so the complete engine and oil can get worm with out overheating the cylinders.. — at Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
