keep the top caps nice.. use some isolation tape to make the socket fit tight, so it will not scar the nut— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

spring hold down and loosen the counter nut , so you can unscrew the top cap and rebound needle assembly — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

take the dust seal out, and take the lock clip out, i do the clip on the dust seal so it douse not rattle around on the leg — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

use the slider as a slide hammer and tap the oil seal out — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

everything cleaned... use some isolation tape to cover the sharp edges , to prevent the seals from damage during mounting — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

take a clean rag and push it down the outer tube with a broom stick , to clean theme inside — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

slider back in the tube, having a fork seal tool is very helpfull , use it as a slide hammer and tap the seal in — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

lock clip back in and push the dust seal down — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

bleed the rebound dampening rod.. pump the rod up and down untill you feel a smooth resistance the complete travel — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

look up the adviced airchamber , a suction bottle , piece off clear hose and a oring douse the trick , and suck the to much off oil out to leave the correct airchamber — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

making it nice... set the rebound adjuster needle flush and to the point , when you mount the top cap like this, max closed is flush and points to getter... you know you have the full adjustment range iff needed — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

spring loaded and screw on the top cap holding the counter nut.. when the needle seats , the rod will turn and you can tighten the counter nut — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

side scoops off... nasty chemical corrosion in the zinc plated screws... i bet some sort off engine cleaner is used , this can make the zinc coated bolts corrode... i think i will mount back some nice black alu ones — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

give the axle 15 turns , so it sits on the thin part off the axle , now the belt tention is off — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

removing the rest off the parts that need to be coated, foot pegs and pedals , push the pivot pin out to take the footpeg off — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

on with the engine rotation, loosening the cables at the left side w brace ( side stand and crank sensor )— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

dropping the engine far enough to loose the header nuts — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

i could hear the clickety starting ( solinoid hammering ) battery is left to long with out charger.. cold start capacity is down the drain... only 130 CCa Left — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
