1125 cr small inspection
after heating up , drain the oil right away
moving on to the rear.. checking the wheel bearings
bike has been driven in the winter , our roads are heavely salted... no good for metal parts.. and everything corrodes
bearings are done to
as are the rear brake pads
shiny.. cleaned the rear axle an coat with some grease before mounting
old brake pads.. pull the lip on the pads in
so you can push the pad out the spring clip
front end check up , bearings are ok
tighen the caliper
and axle
the bike had a knock when breaking.. knocks only ones... sounds like steering head bearings need retightening .. loosen the lower triple t clamps with the front off the bike still supported
loosen the pinch bolt
remove the handle bar clamp to get to the stem nut , loosen this and retighten
pinch bolt back in, and tighten the lower triple t clamps
bike back on its wheels, preload the suspention and tighten the axle pinch bolts
change brake fluid
bugger... will mount new screws
and change the clutch fluid.. .the one that really gets dirty
and change the rear brake fluid
running the engine to temp.. checking the charging ok..
and oil level check
and resetting the service counter
m2 carb. checking the idle adjustment.. cold .... burned my wrist to many times ;-)
idle adjuster is almost turned fully open.. still would not run nice... carb off to check the jetting, draining the bowl..
stock slow jet 42 .. will go to 45 , and put a 190 main in
2,5 turns... base setting
and back on the bike to check... running... perfect...
good idle adjustment.. and runs very smooth
so airfilter back on and test ride :-)
very nice XB9Sx in for check up...
removing the covers while draining
side stand bolt... yep is loose
turn the bolt out for cleaning
clutch back in with fresh oil
front plug out from below
pivot cleaned, red loctite on the treads, and grease on the bolt
pulling the spring back on
nice bikes .. tryning to keep it nice to.. removing the caliper to check the rear wheel , protect it
rear wheel bearingsa are ok ..
rear wheel up. checking the primary chain
ill say a little loose ;-)
fresh plug in the front one
and filling oil
nice , new pully cover on
do the lower bolt and spacer last, as you can slide these in from below
rear spark plug.. mnn will need a new cable to , pulled the booth off the plug
new plug in
and airbox back on
front end check , we need to replace the pads.. so loosen the pin
and pinch bolts loose
i think this is the first time this axle came out ... i will grease it a little for protection
disk was warped.. i will replace it for our disk
nice :-) and brakes very good
bolts to 35 Nm
new disk new pads.. please do
caliper bolts back on
and TQ to 50 Nm
steep angle on the front master cylinder.. better to make it straight for filling
changing the front brake fluid
and rear... no warming up, and bedding the front brake and rubbing the tyres :-)
