on request customer i made the brake line realy hidden ( below the swingarm ) and up though the space between the engine and the swing arm ( with some extra protection on the brake line ) — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

if your carefull the hidden caliper set up makes it faster to mount the rear wheel. as the caliper can stay in place , for mounting opening up the space between the brake pads can be usefull — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

bleeding can be a pain... with a vacuum pump.. easy peasy — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

removing the side stand , the reasr off the bike is already lowered... and we need to lower the front end to... a shorter side stand is very smart , as the bike will stand to upright — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

little lubing wil not hurt the dry pivot — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
so further with the engine rotation , disconnect the reasr O2 sensor — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and rotate the engine down so you can loosen the header nuts — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
a little wiggeling and pulling , and the header is off— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
intake manifold flange bolts loose — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and spark plugs the easy way ( with engine rotated down ) — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
as i want the remove the front head / cilinder to check , the top mount and coil bracket needs to come off — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

so off with the heads , starting with the rocker cover— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
rocker box bolts... start with the 6 small ones — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
place a little rag between the head and the rocker box... it will leak oil there ... loosen evenly the 4 big rocker box bolts — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
pushrods out — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and with a 1/2 inch 12 point you can loosen / remove the head bolts — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
mnnn not good.. i now know why the base is sweating.. headgasket failure , and head bolt came loose ( with out the tension... ) need to check the cylinder studs... we don't see this happen often , it even looks like the head gasket was leaking a little— bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

piston and rings look good... looks like the 2e ring is not even worn in fully — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.

after looking at the front i really need to check the reas to , about the same as the front.. but with a head sensor in the middle off the head.. loosen this connector — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
small bolts fist than big bolts evenly — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
and the head bolts loose, these where all nive and tight — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
rear head off, you see the gasket has sticked on all around.. typical witht he stock gaskets , signs off a good seal — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
resr rings look also ok.. hardly worn in... i will give the cylinders a light hone to sharpen up the cylinders, new rings.. and will break here in on the dyno my self , with break in oil — bij Twin Motorcycles Buell Support forever.
