5-7-2017 - What did we do today: 26-5-2017 Buell XB12 Scg check up, XR1200 sidecar, Buell 1125 disk and pully, 1125 valve check
very nice Scg with long swing arm in for check up

looks very cool the long swing arm on a short tail

warming up to drain the oil , removing covers.. please guys don't put loctite on these bolts, the rivits will trun in the holder

nice home made

ok.. drain plug hole is done for i cannot tighten the plug anymore

we have a box with odd half size plugs .. M13 is perfect to repair, no need to dril you can put the tap right in.. put some thick sticky grease on to catch the debris

the grease trick works very good
;-)

new plug.. little loctite to help it seal

and new oil in —

fresh gearbox oil in

and checking the primairy chain

belt is ok.. little marking on the pully.. and it is mounted the other way around.. not really important .. but i notice it

as espected.. wheel bearings are ok

wheel back in

front plug the easy one out

yep running lean... and hasitating full throttle... bike needs a fuel mapping

ong swing arm on a short frame means you need to fix the shock.. in this case a spacer was made

little rubbing to the battery tray

top side spark plug cable check .. ok

changing the rear plug

cables on. and airfilter cleaned an airbox on —

little trick to pull thread rivits a little tighter.. need bolt, nut and washer

holding the bolt, turning the nut tight , you pull the rivit thighter

brake line inside .. 8 piston oned really need to be outside .. line will rub on the front wheel

the even put the modification bracket on.. to make the brake line run out side the leg

anyway bike swaped around to do the front end

bearings are ok

you see the rubbing on the brake line

front end back in.. and caliper on

new brake fluid

customer came in with his XR1200 side car

strange ... but looks good

bleeding the rear

and running warm to set the oil level

ok.. test ride
:-)

very nice 1125cr.. in for new disk, tyre and front pully

you see the wear bands on the disk.. sign the disk is warped

loosening the old one

and a nice new Galfer disk on..

setting the bolt to 35 NM

temperary mount the caliper

work better to change the pads

press the pads in the springs.. to put the pins in

little loctite on the caliper bolts and tighten to 50 Nm

and titghen the pins

check the freeplay on the crush drive

just a little more than 2 hairs , enough to be irritating driving

so belt tension off

belt off the front pully , use the dimple in the front pully

remove the bolt and you can pull off the pully

tap the end bearing support out

and lift the pully 2 side from each other

this is the idea... just put a shim in it..( need to make these , strips 20mm x 30 mm x 1 mm thick ) been replaceing the rubbers... but the same will happen after a short while

no easiest to put the shims in is to put the inner half on and slide the shims between the rubber and the hub , all 3 in place push the inner hub on

pully back on , line up the middle bearing support

and mount it.. give it a little tap to seat it

O-ring on the bolt still inplace and mount the bolt back in

wheel back

test ride.. on off the nicest 1125CR in our work shop

little time to spare finish the valve check

rear box is always a pain to remove.. but good i did.. exhaust is way to tight same as the front cylinder

so same story.. remove the finger spacer

silde the fingers to a side —

get your magnet on a stick out, to pull out the shim.. and mesure.. take notes is needed..

new shims in, and turned the engine 360 and check again ... good to go

finger lock back in

little silicone on the cover gasket so it will stick a little better on

and the cover on

F...bugger.. 1 screw is not playing nice

thread pulled out

ok protecting the engine from debris falling in

as we are going to make a timesert repair

hole drilled, and recess made

and time sert in

nice and tight
:-)
