21-6-2017 - 17-5-2017 NOS Buell XB9 repairs, Buell XB12SS clutch, Buell XB12X check, handle bar on a firebolt
yes it works...

but some things.. are just not right

old intake rubber mounted on new model throttle body ( changed some where in it the life iff this bike )

the NOS switch

and the head temp sensor is broken, tried to repair it , but the value is off much , so the bike runs very richy

special tools needed to take the sensor out

old to new ?

anyway sensor in

the right model stack on

and spring clip on

leaking clutch cable

routed the "omg" way ... thought the chin spoiler hole

i will come to this.. i'm afrain i need a new slider

engine oil ... don't know how long this is, but not realy ok

Mcgyver ? plastic mad

yeah... will do this a other way

first off. so i can repair the leaking cable

new plugs will not hurt aswell

the strange routing did not help rubbing the outer layer , and is now leaking oil

we sell heastshrink tube with a glue layer.. perfect for leaks like this

a little grease on the adjuster will help in the long run , as the cable looks not that old

while the bike is on off the first Xb9 models.. hence the old style front exhaust mount

yep... Mcgyver

checking the rear wheel bearings... means losen the belt guards on the 03 models

if you do it carfefully you can lift the bike and hold the belt to the side

bearings are ok

ok top end back on

other bike.. clutch is slipping under full load...

so draining the gearbox

loosen the chain adjuster

chin spoiler offf.. nice headers ... Ti ones
:-)

clutch cable loose... and remove the cover

just pulling it off a little to drain the oil some more

clutch tool is very handy

spring compressed... and lock ring and seat ring removed

slipping clutch.. always take the spring off, as you will find some debris behind it

old clutch pack out... is still okish... customer noted the cltuch was slipping.. and did not try to slip it more... so they are not burned fully

high performace pack in..

and cover back on , tighten this starting in the middle

aftermarket clutch / high performance clutch use Red line ATD D4 in the gearbox

shifter back.. loctite the bolts

clutch back in

and checking the primary chain

bike around. and fix the leaking fork seal

right leg is leaking

i will take the pads out and clean the leg and caliper first

leg out to replace the seals

small check up and tyre Uly

will be needing a base gasket soon

leaking base gasket / or main seal... need to clean it first to even see it

anyway.. bearings are ok

fresh rubber on, and wheel back in

filling the oil back to level

checking tension on the chain

battery poles.. off course

wanted to check this .. as we noted with the last service.. the piston rings are on there way out..

front end check

mnn... also leaking... you really need to look on Uly to see this with the low fender

wheel bearings are ok

leg apart and cleaning the scratches

put some isolation tape on the sharp edges to protect the seals

leg ready to go back in , new tyre mounted

test ride and oil level check
:-)

mounting superbike bars on a R

need a new brake line so i drain the old system

right side switch off

cylinder off

top plate bolts loose ( front off the bike is suported )

special bit to remove the ignition switch

left side off

and stem nut loose

now easy tap the top plate off

the LSL set come with a spacer ring to use on the stem bolt

new plate on

and tighten the stem nut

handle bar rizers... mount with loctide

bar on

and dril the switch
