14-6-2017 - 29-4-2017 What did we do today: Little jobs day... and a starter clutch for a Buell XB
engine rebuild start up.. would not smootch... testing spark.. check .. injector test they would not even click while testing.. fuel pressure is there

ok injectors out.. and in the injector tester , cables loos

4 mm allen to remove the screw holding the injector rail

and you can pull out the injectors with rail

one started working at 5 bar , the other one still not ... i put these in the ultrasonic cleaner for a cycle

while we wait ... checking other bike.. oil pressure light is on.. and stays one and blowing noise gaskets ?

top end looks dry

except for the front fork seal

checking oil pressure curcuit.. this functions.. could be still the switch.. but that would mean some metal debris in the switch

will do firs to check of the oil pump is running .. fist a little cleaning up... as the bike is dirty , to dirty to open up things

after cleaning the injectors are working.. and flow is good... typical lying to long

injectors back in the rail
even if you forget the color codes.. if you know why they injector spray is directional you know where it needs to go .. front of rear

injectors back in.. contact... and first heat cycles.. 10 seconds ..

Uly error codes... exhaust valve solinoid is broken and shows a error code..

i will remove it completely as it has no use any more

the connector is left side next to the battery

inplug the connector , and you can pull the wires out

replacement resistor added , to fool the ecm

and bowden cable removal , cutting it here

and you can pull it out easy

more lighter, more faster, more better

customer came to pick up his back.. fully packed and ready for the trip home... freaking starter motor clutch gave up.. and kept slipping... aaahhhh... started this bike 2 days ago to warm here up

ok.. a defenaly fix it now... so starter motor out.. loosening the rear tie rod , and move it out the way

oil line bracket loose and remove it

other side, chin spoiler off .. shifter off

loosening the primairy chain

breather oil line loose to make room for the starter motor

speed sensor out

and after some fideling the nut for the battery cable loose ( battery poles disconnected before this !!! )

ok cover needs to come off , draining oil in a clean tray.. as this is 10 km old oil

cover off. and starter motor bolts need to come out

you don;t have to remove the basket.. loosen the top bolt fully and push the starter motor back while you unscrew the lower bolt

and wiggel the starter motor out

i will clean this one first before i even take it apart

spinning.. , new clutch back in will fix things

short side job.. new front disk ...

new disk , new pads

starter motor back in , new gasket

tighten the cover , starting in the middle spiraling out

shifter back on

some fiddeling with the starter motor feed cable nut

and speed sensor back in

oil line clip in the fitting.. and press in the oil line , ensure it locks

oil ine bracket back on

zip tie to keep the lines from hitting the header

contact and starting.. as it should

long trip ahead... have a good one
