This purchase is for a set of frame sliders and spool adapters for the above models. The sliders are made of UHMW-PE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene), a tough plastic with good strength, wear resistance and dimensional stability. It is more dimensionally stable than Nylon and used in many industrial ball bearing and friction reducing applications. The bolts are made of highest grade commercially available 12.9(177,000 psi in tensile strength). The brackets are made of solid carbon steel 80,000 psi in tensile strength (not 6061-T6 aluminum used by many of 42,000 psi). Lifting the rear of 09-on FZ6R is uniquely challenging. The swing-arms have no threaded holes for spools and are at an angle. Without spools the bike can be difficult to lift with a stand. Once lifted, it can be unstable. The angle on the swing-arms makes it worse. It can cause the bike to slip off the stand and fall. T-Rex spool adapters are made to meet this challenge. They are designed to securely attach to the swing-arms and allow safely lifting of the rear wheel using a paddock stand.
