All Carbonite clutch kits feature an extra friction plate and steel drive plate, which immediate increases the clutch area for greater holding. 

The friction plates are lined with 3M carbon based material, which is capable of withstanding higher temperatures and offers a higher coefficient of friction than anything else available today.

The steel drive plates are coated with melonite nitrite, as also used on valve stems, with excellent results.

The black melonite coated drive plates will improve performance, provide a better engagement, longer life and cooler running.
