Independent Tuning of a Sportster 2007 1200 Low
1-1-2013 - Here is a indipendent article from a HD Tuner in the United Kingdom with our Torque Hammer exhaust.
Powerglides tested our Torque Hammer for the Sportster on a 1200 Low 2007, Here is his story.
The Sportster had before V&H Double Barrels, lightly modified stock A/C, and a Kitech (Dobeck) fueler. It came here because of lack of performance, lack of cornering clearance (not helped by the fact that it is a Low), low speed driveability issues, and it was too loud for the owner.
I've just installed a TH on a 2007 1200 Low. The bike didn't have a stock exhaust and A/C when it came in, so I don't have the stock baseline as a point of comparison. As with the 883, I used the Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather, as it works well.
Here is a graph with the Torque Hammer and tuned with the sound baffle in it's a nice quit pipe.
Here is a graph with the Torque Hammer and with the sound baffle oud it's a loud pipe with good torque in the midrange.
The Red graph below is Torque Hammer and tuned with the baffle removed
The Black graph below is Torque Hammer and tuned with the baffle installed
The Torque Hammer is one of the best H-D exhausts that I've worked with, and I have a great admiration for the amount of R&D that Dris had to endure to get this developed, and I can't find many public references to the R&D programs, test results, and comparisons of this magnitude, from other manufacturers, even though they are probably done in many instances. here is the article of the development of the exhaust: https://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/artikelen.asp?cid=16&aid=125
